And why do they, at other moments and in other countries, hardly lead to much public debate? The entrance and settlement of migrants in Western Europe has prompted various political reactions. In some countries anti-immigration parties have gained substantial public support while in others migration policies have been hardly controversial."--Cover Výrazy tezauru imigrace * migrační proud * migrační politika * členský stát EU * Rakousko * Belgie * Irsko * Nizozemsko * Španělsko * Švýcarsko * Spojené království * 90. léta 20. století * 1. polovina 21. století Klasifikační znaky 2811 - Migrace ISBN 978-1-138-85279-2 Copy count 1, currently available 1 Document kind Kolektivní monografie Call number Location Info F 86508 EXH - externí sklad Holešovice Title The economy and the vote : economic conditions and elections in fifteen countries / Wouter Van der Brug, Cees Van der Eijk, Mark Franklin Author Brug, Wouter van der, 1963- (Author) Another authors Eijk, Cees van der (Author) Franklin, Mark 1964- (Author) Issue First published Publication Cambridge : Cambridge University Press, 2007 Scope x, 234 stran ; 23 cm Country United Kingdom Language English Note Obsahuje bibliografii a rejstřík Annotation "This book estimates the effects of economic conditions on the behavior of individual voters and on the outcomes of 42 elections in 15 countries. The conventional wisdom that poor economic conditions hurt governing parties is too simplistic. It does not hold for junior parties in coalition governments, who frequently gain at the expense of larger parties. It also does not hold in countries where responsibility for economic policy is unclear (more often than not). The extent to which the economy affects election outcomes depends strongly on the degree of electoral competition between parties."--Cover Výrazy tezauru volby * ekonomické podmínky * srovnávací studie Klasifikační znaky 0416 - Volební proces a hlasování ISBN 978-0-521-68233-6 Copy count 1, currently available 1 URL The economy and the vote (náhled do publikace / Google Books) Document kind Studie Call number Location Info F 86506 EXH - externí sklad Holešovice
